Upon entering a New York bar, comedian Shane O'Driscoll meets Kirsty, a beautiful and enigmatic bartender. They quickly realize that there is something special between them. Months later, on Christmas Eve, Shane, now a disheveled and desperate wreck, sits down with a drunk homeless man and recounts the story of the past year, reflecting on his whirlwind relationship with Kirsty.
