Overview

Pushu Pushu lives leisurely on the Pushy Star. One day, when he was eating his favorite dumplings, the area around his mouth became dirty, and was wiping it with a towel... Suddenly, A creature named Nyu appeared! Surprised Pushu Pushu was, but there is no cheek. When Nyu appeared, her cheeks flew off into space. The troubled Pushu Pushu is encouraged by Nyu, and the two set off on an adventure in search of Cheeks on a rocket.

Frustrated with babysitting on yet another weekend night, Sarah, a teenager with an active imagination, summons the Goblins to take her baby stepbrother away. The film was directed by Giuliano Cenci with assistance from his brother Renzo. During production, Carlo Collodis grandchildren Mario and Antonio Lorenzini were consulted. The subtle movements made by fidgeting children whilst speaking or under scrutiny were incorporated into Pinocchios movements, particularly when he lies to the Fairy with the Turquoise Hair over the fate of his gold coins. For the design of the Fairy, Italian portrayals of the Blessed Virgin Mary in art were used as starting points.
