Overview

The Simpsons go for a picnic in the woods. After luncheon, while mother and father enjoy a nap, Betty, their beautiful daughter, strolls away, picking flowers. When near a hillside, Betty sees a snake and screams. She starts to run away, but bumps into Billy Gilwater. He kills the snake and Betty calls him a hero.

The water rises higher and higher, tremendous waves dashing over the girl, and when it seems impossible for her to live another minute her sweetheart arrives with a crowd of the village people and rescues her.

They pour a bottle of whiskey over his unconscious body, then commit the robbery. When Maloney wakes up, still groggy from being knocked out, he stumbles out into the street, and the combination of his grogginess and the smell of whiskey leads to him being charged with being drunk on duty. He must clear his name and bring the criminal gang to justice.
