Overview

Higashiyama Haruto is a 34-year-old Japanese history teacher who combines good looks with an honest and friendly personality. When he has been assigned to Nitaka High School, a school for advanced students, Haruto immediately attracts the attention of his female students. But he has a secret that he cannot tell anyone; he wants to be killed by a beautiful high school girl. Obsessed with such a bizarre desire, Haruto approaches four beautiful girls of different types, Maho, Aoi, Kyoko, and Aika, according to the perfect crime scenario he has devised. The film centres on Moncho and his coming-of-age experience in Galicia in 1936. Moncho develops a close relationship with his teacher Don Gregorio who introduces the boy to different things in the world. While the story centres on Moncho's ordinary coming-of-age experiences, tensions related to the looming Spanish Civil War periodically interrupt Moncho's personal growth and daily life.

All the murders were videotaped and uploaded to the Internet via bit torrent sites and for three days, the world viewed the murders of these three innocent teens. Through legal action, the parents of the victims were able to remove all footage from the Internet and the town tried to save face by pretending it never happened. Bootleg copies of this footage are still passed around and downloaded through illegal means. The impact of this video is still being felt in Cohasset today. The video has become infamous, and is now referred to as The Cohasset Snuff Film.
