Our desire for sweets has a long history. In Hawaii, favorable growing conditions created a thriving sugar industry, starting with the first sugar plantation in 1835. This video takes you on a tour of Hawaii's last remaining sugar producing mill, operated by Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company on the island of Maui.
