Overview

A boy rescues a girl who has collapsed in a river and looks after her. The girl reminisces about her lonely days in Tokyo and her hometown by the sea where she lived with her grandmother, and the girl's presence becomes a source of emotional support for the boy. One day, the girl disappears from the boy's sight. A beautiful poem woven together with images that reflect the boy's delicate inner life and Pachelbel's Canon. Sachiyo Nakao plays the girl, full of translucence, and thereafter becomes the muse in Sasaki's works.
