Kraftwerk, Björk, Rammstein or Robbie Williams on tour are not just concerts, but pop operas, the most spectacular stage events of our time. Tens of thousands make the pilgrimage to stadiums and halls to be there. But nobody knows the man in the background. Scumeck Sabottka has been a concert promoter for over 30 years. Constantly traveling, constantly negotiating, always on the lookout for the next big thing. An ex-punk from the Ruhr area who started out as a bus driver for Einstürzende Neubauten, worked his way up, came close to bankruptcy twice and then struck a deal with legendary promoters Fritz Rau and Marcel Avram.

Following his explosive career as a member of one of Korea’s hottest K-pop groups, Kang Daniel has chosen to walk down a path all his own. His debut as a solo artist may have been delayed due to circumstances outside of his control, but it was during this time that Kang Daniel explored and discovered his true colors as an artist. With the release of his first full album, Kang Daniel stands before fans once again with “FIRST PARADE,” his first solo concert in Seoul that also marks the start of an epic world tour. This concert documentary film chronicles Daniel’s time in the rehearsal room, his stripped back and natural self with the people closest to him, and a glimpse into his mindset and resolve through heartfelt interviews. On 21.12.2012 in the Fox Theater in Pomona, California, a Suicide Silence Memorial-concert for Mitch Lucker took place. The motto of the concert was "Ending is the beginning". A range of guest-musicians, friends and fans of the Deathcore-legend Suicide Silence concelebrated with the band in loving memory of the late singer. Mitch Lucker died on 01.11.2012 after a tragic motorbike crash. He left his wife and their daughter Kenadee behind.

You Gave Me A Song offers an intimate portrait of old-time music pioneer Alice Gerrard and her remarkable, unpredictable journey creating and preserving traditional music. The film follows eighty-four year old Gerrard over several years, weaving together verité footage of living room rehearsals, recording sessions, songwriting, archival work, and performances with photos and rare field recordings. Much of the film is told in Alice’s voice and via interviews with musical collaborators and family members who share the story of Alice and others chasing that high lonesome sound.

Apparition of the Eternal Church

The movie captures the responses of 31 authors, musicians, filmmakers and dancers to Olivier Messiaen's monumental organ work "Apparition of the Eternal Church." Listening to the 10-minute piece through headphones, the documentary subjects-most of whom are outsiders to the church and do not know what they're hearing-put Messiaen's project to the test: Is it possible to portray, through time-bound, invisible sound, the spiritual, the architectural, the eternal? The result is a collective interpretation improvising its way through an aesthetic landscape defined by violent contradictions. Resolution abuts eternity, eroticism asceticism, spiritual ecstasy physical torture. Together, the music and its interpreters conjure something like what William Blake famously called the marriage of heaven and hell.

Starting from laying down the basic tracks in a practice studio, to the re-introduction of Nick Launay (producer of the band's second studio album, Roll On) and playing a gig at Splendour in the Grass in 2005, before heading to the studio to record and mix the album. The DVD came as a bonus with the limited edition album.

The end result is a skillful and intense break from traditional guitar song.
