Overview

Teen Bindu (Points of Life), is an amalgamation of three separate short films, which share the correlative concept of Art and Artists. They are ‘Canvas’, portraying a struggling artist’s life which takes an unforeseen turn when he accidentally comes across a high profile murder case, starring Saurav Das, directed by Soumyajit Adak. ‘Lakshmi’, renders a penurious life of an old man, who is a sculptor and his very young wife and their longing to have a child

Samir Mitra is an unemployed educated guy who is looking for a job. His father Abir Mitra is a retired person. Samir's mother is suffering from cancer. One day Samir suddenly meets Manik Chandra Sadhukhan. Manik's father is Niranjan Sadhukan, he is also ill. Latika is Manik's younger sister. Manik has come to Kolkata to meet his father's friend Chandrakanta Majumadar who is an established businessman. Manik meets with an accident on the way. Samir tries to save his life. Before his death Manik requests Samir to take care of his father and younger sister; he also tells Samir not to disclose the news of his accident. Manik gives Samir all required information. Samir becomes Manik; he meets Chandrakanta as Manik. Chandrakanta appoints him in his own office.

Madhura, National Awardee for her debut film, now leads a frustrated existence. Neel, passionate about dance and astronomy, chances on something that changes his destiny. Angshuman, returns from Italy eight years after completing a course in film direction. He has an interesting script on the curious relationship between a septuagenarian celebrity painter and a young nurse. The project is a non-starter with constant setbacks. A crime occurs brings emotional crises to a peak. Despite all adversities, Angshuman is determined to see his dream project through.

In the Forest... Again

The film features the characters from Satyajit Ray's Aranyer Din Ratri, returning to the forest over thirty years later. Ashim, Sanjoy, Harinath and Aparna have grown old in this film; Shekhar has died. They set out on a journey to break off every link with civilisation for a few days. However, the trip turns sour when Ashim and Aparna's daughter, Amrita, goes missing. It transpires that she is being held for ransom by local tribespeople. Police intervene and the kidnapped girl is returned to her parents, albeit against her own wishes.

The Final Truth

Shankar was a young lawyer in pursuit of making it big in the professional world. However, his world is turned upside down when he comes to know that his father, who he knew went missing, was in real life spending his lifetime in jail as he was incorrectly accused of murdering a lady named Hemangini. His mother urges him to reinvestigate the case and save his father. He goes to Krishnanagar in search of the people and the pieces of evidence that would help him to prove his father’s innocence. He meets Rita, a young and charming lady who assists him. They fall in love. Shankar faces a lot of roadblocks while trying to collect clues, most of them which were imposed by the actual murderer. However, he solves the mystery in the end and his father is thus released from prison.
