Carl Laemmle was only able to rent the Fox Movietone sound-on-film recording system for one week, having to be filmed at night while the Fox Studio was closed down for the evenings.

The story is about life, love, and nirvana. Siddharth (42) is in the holy city of Banaras for the first time. One day at the ghat he sees and instantly gets hooked with the aura of Malvika (38). Basically giving an open-book about the secrets of the entertainment-world. The film adapts and portrays some of the shocking scenes of this book, focussing more on the gay-aspect of the expose.
