Overview

The Network is an exclusive group of the most professional and fearless corruption hunters in the world. It is twenty public prosecutors and investigators from Europe, US, Africa, Asia and Latin America that meet in order to support each other and find new tools in the struggle against corruption. They investigate some of the wealthiest, greediest and most influential leaders and enterprises in the world. The members have faith in a just world even if many corruption hunters have been killed.

This two-hour special looks back at Dec. 7, 1941 - the date that has indeed lived in infamy, as President Franklin Roosevelt promised - when imperial Japan attacked the U.S. naval forces in Hawaii, ushering America into World War II. The attack killed more than 2,400 people, wounded 1,000 and damaged or destroyed nearly 20 American ships and over 300 airplanes.

They viewed Federal Germany as an oppressor of political freedom and as a vassal of the United States. Today, Schily is a former Federal Minister of the Interior with a firmly conservative stance and Ströbele is a well-respected member of the left wing of the Green Party in the German parliament while Mahler has again come into conflict with the law because of his extremist right-wing activities.
