Overview

Everything seems normal at a hockey arena until the roof, straining under the weight of the ice and snow that has built up, finally gives way, collapsing on top of the fans and players below. Many are killed in the tragic accident, but a few survive, trapped under tons of snow and steel. Can they hold out long enough for the rescue teams to reach them?

When his wife dies, Carl offers his only son, Janeau, 12, a fresh start. They move to Mont Saint-Hilaire, where Janeau makes friends with Julie, a talented Pee-Wee hockey goalie determined to compete in the annual World Tournament held in Quebec. She convinces Janeau to join the team, but he has a hard time being accepted by the rest of the players, including Joey, the star player who has to endure constant pressure from his father.

After having an allergic reaction, Ms. Shafer shows David that there is no supplement for hard work. In order to find their renewed purpose, they must step outside their safety zones.
