The Story of Panda – Taotao, directed by Shuichi Nakahara and Tatsuo Shimamura, was the first animation produced as a Chinese-Japanese joint venture. Released in December, 1981, the film is about Taotao, a small panda from Sichuan, who was captured and sold to a European zoo, where he got into adventures with his animal friends. The series includes a film in 1981 and a 52-episode series in 1983.

Panda and the Pussycats are back with "Panda and the Pussycats 4", available on CD+DVD and CD and which brings together a handful of new songs and fun videos that will continue to win over thousands of children who are big fans of this children's phenomenon. "Sexta-Feira (Estudei A Semana Inteira)" is the first single from this new CD and DVD, with Panda e os Caricas creating an animated anthem from the famous song by rapper Boss AC, "Sexta-Feira (Emprego Bom Já)". Some of the new songs that children will hear on the new album include "Who's Afraid of Ghosts?" The factory owner proves the actor a fraud, and punishes all those involved. The young actor feels he has let the workers down, and promises to atone. He sets out for Shaolin, determined to be accepted as a kung-fu pupil at the elite temple.
