Overview

Chiaki is an aspiring conductor who faces the challenge of leading an orchestra which is made up of substitutes. Nodame gives her support to her beloved as she works hard towards achieving her dream to pass a promotion exam at their music conservatory. Video game obsessed nine-year-old Charlie is sent to spend the summer at his Uncle Steve's countryside home, where he befriends Squeaky, an overlooked rat in his uncle's struggling pet store. When a video of Squeaky unexpectedly goes viral, turning the rat into a social media star, the family's fortunes begin to change. But their newfound hope is threatened when Squeaky is kidnapped by local bully Kevin. Determined to save their furry friend, Charlie, his cousin Stewart, and their friend Jane embark on a daring rescue mission. Along the way, the kids discover the power of family and teamwork. Things should make their natural progression from there if nature takes its course, but then again they chart a different course.

He acts without suspicion, comes across as slightly dim-witted, a silly simpleton, talks nonsense and, in his harmless naivety, repeatedly creates situations that make us laugh at the malice of chance or stubborn militarism. His environment, the officers' staff area, is portrayed with irony, but without malicious scorn.
