Overview

Based on the idea by Roland Topor (screenwriter of Roman Polanski's The Tenant), this very curious completely silent melodrama tells the story of Mona, who has left her father, the railway gatekeeper, after being raped on the train track. She is kidnapped and taken to a Parisian whorehouse. However, a disinherited prince, Dudu who tries to rescue her, is himself kidnapped and forced to serve as a male prostitute. The two captives meet there and fall in love. They are taken away by different rich people - he to an Arab "harem," she to a surgeon's home.

Nick is a successful young man whose comfortable West Coast life couldn't be better. He suggests that he get him a slave girl, perhaps she will bring joy and happiness to his heart. Indeed, his father buys a slave girl named Baddour. She discovers that the cause of his illness is his love for (Shams), the daughter of the judge, so Badour suggests that he convince his father to guide her to the judge so that she can be the messenger of love between (Qamar) and (Shams), and Bahbah helps her in that. He knows the judge. By order, he imprisons them all and they try to escape.

The film mainly consists of various, often grotesque episodes. There is also a frame story from which the episodes are derived. However, the connection between the frame story and the episodes is very weak. Many episodes revolve around surveillance and security. In the frame story, insurance agent Erich and Richard are stuck together in an elevator that is unusually large for an apartment building (about 3x3 meters). While Erich wants to get out as quickly as possible, Richard isn't actually in any hurry, as he seems to live in the elevator.
