Overview

Everyone is happy for rising Asian American actor GQ Qi – the network, his mother, his best friend – everyone except GQ himself. Heʼs stuck playing an offensive stereotype on a sitcom, and the day he decides to speak up for himself on set, the executive producer fires him. Struggling to pick up the pieces, he starts dating casting director Rachel. Love and work become intertwined.

Eve is a precocious nine year-old girl with a wild imagination growing up in a traditional Chinese immigrant family in Vancouver where Confucian doctrines, superstitious obsessions and divine visions abound. When Buddhism and Catholicism are thrown into the mix, life for Eve and her 11-year-old prim and authoritative sister, Karena, escalates into a fantasia of catastrophe, sainthood and cultural confusion. The journey of a young girl and her sister striving to grow up in world where childhood is lonely and the world is full of wonder.

Unfortunately they learn they are not alone. A third entity reveals he has been following them through many lives as several different people. He is angry that they are now preparing to leave the earth. The entity does not want them to leave it behind and fights against their harmony.
