Overview

Shot live from the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City, this presentation of the 1980 Broadway revival of the beloved Lerner & Loewe classic follows King Arthur, who founds the kingdom of Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table. Their goal: fight for justice and right, but Arthur only sees his ideal crumble when his wife Guenevere falls in love with his favorite knight, Sir Lancelot.

Silva Varescu, a self-sufficient and professionally successful cabaret performer from Budapest, is about to embark on a tour of America. In old New South Wales a new bunch of convicts arrives including the little convict, young Toby Nelson. Consigned to a Government farm they are subjected to the cruelty of Sergeant Billy Langdon and Corporal Weazel Wesley. Toby escapes and flees into the Australian bush where he is saved from death by the aboriginal boy, Wahroonga. Together, with another escapee, the highwayman, Jack Doolan, and Wahroonga’s animal friends, they launch a spectacular mission to rescue the blacksmith, Big George, and Toby’s sister, Polly.

Ruk Jub Jai: The Romantic Musical

A romance musical movie that tells a story of a superstar who falls for a blind girl. Described by theatre critic Alongkorn Parivudhiphongs as captivating bubblegum entertainment, Ruk Jub Jai: The Romantic Musical was an unanticipated hit, with a total of 49 performances at Muang Thai Rachadalai Theatre. More than 60,000 theatre-goers went to the successful theatrical production, while the movie version of the play premiered on November 22. It was shown at Major Cineplex cinemas. This was the first time in Thailand that a stage production had been adapted for the silver screen. The film was made by GTH Studio, who used special equipment to capture the live performances on stage. They also filmed some scenes without an audience. The film version of the romantic comedy allows more close-ups of sentimental scenes between Sukrit Wisetkaew (Bie) and Nuengthida Sophon (Noona) in their respective roles as a singing superstar and a blind girl.
