Overview

Norwegian propaganda film and cult drama about Eva (16) and Arne (17), both from well established homes, attend a class where a professor says that cannabis is safer than alcohol. Together with some friends they decide to try the drug. The start of a drug hell for all involved. The film was poorly received by the critics, but it nonetheless became one of the highest-grossing theater films in Norway in 1969.

Four girls in rehab is on tour from their treatment centers and it becomes their life stories. The girls run off in a stolen Volvo and soon learns to know the freedom of good and evil. Presented by Voices in Society and Travelers Insurance Indemnity, this untitled PSA-style film from the 1970s is a compilation of various anti-drug use PSAs from National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Information (NCADI). The films were assembled by a film collector who did public screenings of cult films; he often showed this compilation under the moniker “Stoner’s Night Out”. NCADI is the information service for the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. The PSAs that comprise this film combine footage of drug use as well as interviews. Overall, this film warns of the short-term and long-term effects of drug use with the later segments of the film focusing on marijuana use specifically.

The movie revolves around a girl named 'Tania', a victim of smoking and alcohol abuse, going through the process of In vitro fertilization. When it comes to alcohol and smoking, an abuser is overlapped with the tendencies of both alcoholism and chain smoking wherein one is subjected to intense cravings, followed by untoward mental as well as physical detention. Things go downhill one morning, as she relapsed the night before and she suffers a miscarriage. Does it not leave us with the raucous screams of the unborn?
