Overview

Many people are feeling the effects of the economic crisis — including the struggling businessman Brutus Brein. His company’s numbers keep sinking deeper into the red, and desperation grows. The only one who remains untouched by the crisis is Sinterklaas. Seeing a chance to solve his financial troubles, Brutus tries to convince the good saint to buy his products. But when Sinterklaas shows no interest, Brutus joins forces with his mother, Dr. Brein, and her henchmen Joris and Boris to devise a cunning plan to rob him. Meanwhile, two children, Milan and Eva, stumble upon Brutus’s scheme. Determined to stop him, they do everything they can to warn Sinterklaas...

When the mysterious Toy Taker grabs all of Santa's toys, it looks like the children will miss out on Christmas. But everyone's favorite reindeer, Rudolph, comes to the rescue with his lovable friends: Hermey the elf, Yukon Cornelius the grizzly prospector, the abominable snow monster Bumbles and Rudolph's very special friend Clarice. Over the years, Nikolas's former adoptive families become many, and soon almost every house has presents on its doorstep on Christmas morning. At thirteen, Nikolas is sent to live and work with Iisakki, a grumpy old carpenter, who forbids Nikolas to continue making presents for Christmas. Gradually, however, Nikolas wins Iisakki's trust. Together they begin to look after the Christmas traditional that Nikolas has begun. When the aged Iisakki has to leave Nikolas and move away, the tradition of Christmas presents is once again at risk. Thankfully, Nikolas comes up with a solution that brings children joy every Christmas, even continuing to today.
