Overview

The Islander (Edit). The Islander (Full Lenght Video) and Making of "The Islander" - Documentary. The music video was filmed in Rovaniemi, in Finnish Lapland, in October 2007, and Holopainen commented that they at first didn't plan to make a third video for the album, but when they were offered Finnish beauty, they couldn't resist it. He has also said that for once the lyrics actually fits with the video, which is "a sort of Lapp wilderness combined with the surrealism of Salvador Dalí". The video features guest musician Troy Donockley. The video has a steampunk theme with airships, and features the old sailor (the Islander of the title) walking along a beach through the fog dragging a boat behind him and haunted by ghosts of his past.[2] Later we see him in a flashback as a young man playing the uilleann pipes (portrayed by Troy Donockley) with trees blossoming after he ends his life by dropping anchor and being relieved of his burdens.

There We Were, Now Here We Are... The Making of Oasis

Sep 3, 2004

A documentary made for television that looks back on the development and rapid rise of Oasis from being a band practicing nightly in the Boardwalk to one the biggest British bands of the last thirty years. Building from the formation of the band (with Liam apparently just fed up waiting for other bands to release records and decides to do something himself), the film uses contributions from key people really well to tell the story in an engaging way.

Nightwish: End of an Era

Jun 1, 2006

End of an Era is a concert from Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland, on 21 October 2005, the final concert of a long worldwide tour for their album Once. During the concert the band was joined on-stage by John Two-Hawks, who performed "Stone People" from his album Honor as an introduction to "Creek Mary's Blood", which featured his voice and cedar flutes. End of an Era is the final Nightwish production to feature Tarja Turunen on vocals. She was dismissed by a letter after this concert. In addition to original Nightwish songs, three significant covers appear, their known cover of Gary Moore's "Over the Hills and Far Away", Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera", and a cover of Pink Floyd's "High Hopes". The running time of the concert is 1 hour and 43 minutes. It also contains a 55-minute documentary about the fifteen days prior to the concert, A Day Before Tomorrow, and a photo gallery.

“I am incredibly greedy for feelings," says Kora. She explains this hunger for affection by her dramatic childhood as a four-year-old, estranged from her parents. She is constantly looking for love and people. I love and can't live without a person, I hate as sincerely as possible. Neither a duck, nor a cat, nor a beach, a tree, the sun, nor the stars, the sea, nor the cosmos - everything I admire - can replace this wicked man for me." Kora creates fairy tales all the time. Five of the tales she tells come from the album "Bed": "Just Be," "That's What You're In The World For," "They Say Love Lives in Heaven," Bed" and "They Say Love Lives in Heaven - Reprise." The link between the songs is an "interview" with Kora, her opinion on various topics forming a portrait of the performer.
