Overview

A live-action, stop-motion story of a one glove coming up against a gang full of mobster gloves. This used lost gloves the filmmaker collected with help from friends, and wire-and-putty armatures were built to put in the gloves and was filmed near campus. Caroline Leaf, was J. Liu's teacher at the time of production.

Using an array of gloves in different styles and from different historical periods, the film is a short history of the cinema - from silent movies via pastiches of Buñuel and Fellini and Close Encounters of the Third Kind to a futurist junkyard where tin cans become animated police cars in a city of urban decay.

He is given one order by the king and that is not to fall in love. The situation worsens when Merivel finds himself in love with his new wife. Eventually, the King finds out and relieves Merivel of his position and wealth. His fall from grace leaves Merivel where he first started. And through his travels and reunions with an old friend, he rediscovers his love for true medicine and what it really means to be a physician.
