Overview

The Easter story for everyone. The fifteenth edition of The Passion, live from Terneuzen in Zeeland. This year's theme is: I am with you. With Dorian Bindels as Jesus, Eva Simons as mother Mary, Défano Holwijn as Jesus' best friend Peter, Vajèn van den Bosch in the role of Mary Magdalene, Eddy Zoëy as Judas, Richard Groenendijk as Pilate, Guido Spek as the doubting Thomas and Anita Witzier as the reporter in the procession with the big white cross. The narrator is Wendy van Dijk. Jesus' story of faith, hope and love inspires us to do good and stand side by side.

Missie's surprise pregnancy sets her on a new course that is both thrilling and terrifying. The continued Westward journey of settlers Missie and Willie Lahaye. Their roots now firmly planted as they set up homestead in the far West, Missie begins to realize her passion for teaching as Willie cares for the couple's young daughter Kathy while expanding the family ranch with a little help from sons Jeff and Matthew. When the frontier railroad comes to town, the pleasure of a long-promised visit from Missie's father Clark is suddenly offset by the tragic death of young Kathy. As the untimely demise of their beloved daughter begins to drive an emotional wedge between Missie and Willie, the devastated father unexpectedly accepts an offer made by the powerful Samuel Doros to assume the role of town sheriff. Their faith shaken and their once close-knit bond suddenly torn asunder, Missie and Willie desperately attempt to bring their crumbling family back together as son Jeff faces a series of dangers while hopelessly falling for Doros' beautiful daughter Colette.

The Apocalypse

The film is set in 90 AD and concerns Jesus Christ's last surviving disciple, John of Patmos, and his writings and visions from the Apocalypse of John. Emperor Domitian has declared himself to be God and ruler, over heaven and earth. The Christians do not recognize his divinity and face persecution, from the God Emperor. John has been imprisoned on, the island of Patmos, a Roman mining, penal colony, with many others. He writes out messages of his visions and sends the "Revelation of God", to the seven churches of Greek Asia Minor. The Christian church, in Ephesus, sends Irene to make sure John is alive and to confer with him in person. The movie depicts scenes from the Book of Revelation and links them to events happening to the church in Asia.
