A young, enthusiastic and free-spirited writer arrives to stay in a desolate mansion, rumored to be haunted by the apparition of a young woman named Bharghavi who committed suicide when she was betrayed in love. The writer, who begins to pen her story, soon realizes that there is more to her tragic tale.
The film is based on a story by the renowned Czech writer Karel Čapek, which the filmmakers adapted to the everyday life of the region of Samegrelo in Western Georgia. Samegrelo is home to the “world record in throwing,” but the film’s protagonist only achieves this feat after being verbally insulted.
A young lieutenant, who is visiting his uncle at the time, goes to collect a debt from a tenant, as requested by his uncle. He wants to get married, and his uncle will lend him money for the wedding if he collects the debts from the tenants. The woman prepares the money, but when the young lieutenant signs the bills and hands them over to her, she does not give him the money. Upon his return, the lieutenant confides everything to his uncle, who then sets out to collect them himself...
