Set in the futuristic landscape of Los Angeles on July 4, 2008, as it stands on the brink of social, economic and environmental disaster. Boxer Santaros is an action star who's stricken with amnesia. What Gilbert does no know is that the killer Kraus is bumping off the people who were implicated in the affair for which he was arrested, and that Perrin is next on his list.

He bears an amazing likeness to Maria's stool-pigeon gangster husband and it would be convenient for them if the mobster, in the shape of Dante, was seen to be dead and buried.

Shortly afterwards, he finds himself disguised as a double in an ambassador's limousine - opposite him is the maharajah's little prince and his beautiful Italian chaperone Selinda, with whom he promptly falls in love. When he brags to his colleague Dretzke about the whole affair, it leads to a chain of dramatic but also wonderfully funny events in which the model boys find themselves in dire need of an explanation.
