Marisol is a girl of 16 who, accompanied by her father, is singing from place to place, to put food in their mouths. They end up going to a camp site in Mallorca, where the girl meets two students from Madrid, Tony and Mario. Marisol wants to become someone great, and to achieve that, she performs at a bullfighting tournament as a singer, in the hope that someone will see her. Mr. Morrison and Miss Nelly notice her. This man puts his expectations in Marisol, but to do that, he takes her away from the environment she has lived in until then. That way, he will get the world to consider her "a lady with great talent" (her voice), which is what she wanted in the first place.
Ricardo Fuentes (Carlos Gardel) leaves Buenos Aires after loosing in horse races to go to Barcelona, where he plans to open a tango bar, a new concept of tango dance show and dance saloon. Ricardo watches them robbing a lady's bracelet aboard but decides not to report them because he has fallen in love with Laura. Once in Barcelona, he opens the tango bar but Laura's partner tells him he sold the bracelet and now needs to recover it to avoid both Laura and him going to jail.

The movie takes place entirely in and around the Mini Moni Cafè. The Mini Moni Cafè is run by the first generation members of Mini Moni, who are lead by Mari Yaguchi. Mika Todd is the primary baker for the cafè and Ai Kago and Nozomi Tsuji are bumbling waitresses. One day Kago and Tsuji serve a particularly enthusiastic customer (played by Ai Takahashi) who says she has never had such a delicious cake before. When the waitress explain they do not know the secret ingredient that makes the cakes so good, Takahashi decides to sneak into the cafè later find out what it is and steal it.
