Overview

Vishnu met Mawar in a park while looking for inspiration for his writing material. Mawar turned out to be a next-door neighbor of Vishnu's boarding house. Vishnu soon found out that Mawar was physically abused by her boyfriend Rocky. Vishnu was very angry with himself for not being able to protect Mawar. Until one day Vishnu was desperate to protect Mawar from Rocky's cruelty.

A tale of people unfolds under the night sky. These doomed couples and lost individuals begin journeys and attempt to find resolution in their lives. Love is observed from a distance, sadness is in the air. With little sympathy for the loss and destruction caused to the characters, the stories progress and become neatly woven into a minimalistic portrayal of modern life.

Liappa transverses the dimensions of the real the imaginary and the symbolic. She invites the viewer to consider the construction of the filmic as well as the historical text. She succeeds in making a film with an open end and to leave room for our own contingent constructions.
