This documentary portrays the arrival in Chilean Patagonia of the intelligent buoy of The Blue BOAT Initiative, a project developed by Fundación MERI in collaboration with the Government of Chile and 20 other national and international institutions, to change the way we protect and conserve our oceans. Through wonderful images of the biodiversity of southern Chile, this documentary invites you to immerse yourself in its history, the challenges of its installation in the powerful southern waters of the Corcovado Gulf, and to continue celebrating this important achievement of the scientific community, authorities and experts. This production reflects the pride and joy of a small southern country, at the end of the planet, that advances contributing science and technology to the world.

In 1945, Allied troops invaded Germany and liberated Nazi death camps. They found unspeakable horrors which still haunt the world’s conscience. A film was made by British and American film crews who were with the troops liberating the camps. It was directed in part by Alfred Hitchcock and was broadcast for the first time in its entirety on PBS FRONTLINE in 1985.

Bald: The Making of 'THX 1138'

The film features a conversation between Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola, producer of THX 1138. They discuss Lucas' vision for the film, including his ideas about science fiction in general and in particular his concept of the "used future" which would famously feature in his film Star Wars. Intercut with this discussion is footage shot prior to the start of production of THX 1138 showing several of its actors having their heads shaved, a requirement for appearing in the film. In several cases the actors are shown being shaved in a public location. For example, Maggie McOmie is shaved outside the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, while Robert Duvall watches a sporting event as his hair is cut off. Another actor, Marshall Efron, who would later play an insane man in the film, cut off his own hair and was filmed doing so in a bathtub.
