Set during the 30th LGBTTTIQ+ Pride March in Tijuana, this short documentary presents a queer archivist whose career as a journalist has documented key moments in the region’s queer history, alongside an activist who uses drag performance and outspoken advocacy to challenge the stigma surrounding people living with HIV. Through archival imagery and alternative spaces like Enclave Caracol, located in the city’s historic downtown, the film reflects on memory, erasure, and the urgent need to tell our own stories.

Little Caughnawaga: To Brooklyn and Back

For over 50 years, the Kahnawake Mohawks, of Quebec, Canada occupied a 10 square block area in the North Gowanus section of Brooklyn, which became known as Little Caughnawaga. The men, skilled ironworkers, came to New York in search of work and brought their wives, children and often, extended family with them. The story of the Mohawk ironworkers is an important one and is one that has been told and continues to be told through documentaries, newspaper and magazine articles. Yet the stories of Kahnawake Mohawk women who lived in Brooklyn have gone untold.

Even as a child, she refused to meet the expectations of her extended family, choosing instead to find a way to become the woman she always knew herself to be. The documentary *Homos en politique: le dire ou pas?* uses this milestone — the appointment and visibility of France’s first openly gay Prime Minister — as a springboard for a broader inquiry. Journalists Jean-Baptiste Marteau and Renaud Saint-Cricq travel across France to meet LGBTQ politicians of all generations, from Paris to rural towns. Eleven years after the protests against same-sex marriage, has France really changed?
